Starting Over (Audio Adrenaline)

Starting Over

Look at your face, it doesn’t shine the way it used to
Look at your eyes, they don’t sparkle anymore
Look what you’ve done, you’ve ruined it for everyone
Who told you that you had to lose your innocence

(I can begin)
I, I’m starting over
(Again)
I, I’m starting over

Now tell me how, I get back to my childhood
I used to think it was so naive, I was so naive

Look what I’ve done
I’ve ruined it for everyone
I should have held on harder to my innocence

It’s never too late
It’s never too late for starting over

Reclaim your innocence, start over
Reclaim your innocence, reclaim you innocence
Start over, start over

Look at your face, it doesn’t shine the way it used to

Trout/Easter Weekend

We had a great get-a-way weekend at the cabin. Left early afternoon on Friday and even with sitting at a stand-still in traffic got there in 4 hours. Went to check out the big stream behind the cabin in the evening. Game warden decided to check us out--lol. He was using his binoculars to watch us (kids were throwing rocks into the stream---I guess he thought they were casting...). Anyways, he "searched" Ryan (made him empty his pockets--lol). Gave the kids something to talk about....
Opening Day we drove over to Kettle Creek to go out on the boat in the AM....What a waste (except for my sister who caught her limit). Dane and I each caught one trout over there. We left to come back to the cabin around 1:30. Back at the bigger stream I caught another. While we were gone, Cory had caught one at the bigger stream and 2 native trout in the stream behind the cabin (but they were too small so he used catch and release). He hadn't gone fishing for a few years and really seemed to enjoy himself.
Had our traditional Easter Egg Hunt in the evening. All the boys took turns coloring the eggs.
Sunday we woke up leisurely and went down to the big stream to fish--no luck in fishing, but the serenity of the stream was marvelous.
Drove home in the afternoon---only took 3 1/2 hours---thats record time for me. Made a full course ham dinner at 7PM for the boys, John, Ashley, and Brittany. Very tiring day

Cory and Ryan on Opening Day 2005

Tomorrow is opening day!!! I am taking the boys up to the cabin for the weekend. A couple of times a year I like to take them to Sinnemahoming, Pa.. There is NO TV, NO XBOX 360 (or XBOX Live), NO internet, NO phones.......Just family and nature.
It was trout season last year that my mom was taken to the nearest hosptital (2 hrs away) and the final prognosis was that she had brain cancer. She is cancer free---thanks to fast thinking doctors at Coudersport, and the medical team from Hershey.

My Three Sons

My sons are becoming young men now. The youngest will be 16 in less than 2 weeks!!! I was just reading a blog that someone from church has kept on her one year old daughter, and I thought, why not? I'm going to be having graduations, marriages, grandkids, etc.
They have been the center of my life for almost 20 years now.
